Use LinkedIn Groups to broadcast your posts

This is one of the BIGGEST opportunities in social media.

For example, if you own a group that has 38,000 members

  • You have a huge mailing list
  • With an auto responder you can send them to sign up for your newsletter, etc.

Group Share Avalanche – 10 seconds per day

Do the following:

1. Share a comment on your LinkedIn homepage status

  • Must be typed in by hand, automatic postings from your blog or social media sites don’t have the group share feature

2. After the posting shows up hover over the posting, notice links appear under posting

3. Re-share by clicking the Share link under the comment

4. Share this comment with all your groups

Your comment will go in front of 1000s of people who already want to be marketed to, it’s all business.

Other strategies:

  1. Look for pain points in discussions and offer answers
  2. Answer publicly
  3. Follow up with private email
  • Ask them if your answer was helpful
  • Offer them a free consultation or phone call

To rank high in LinkedIn search results you need to put your keywords in 5 specific places.

Before you do anything, log in to your account, and do a search using terms that others would use to find your type of business. Note where you show up in the list of results.

Now do the following:

Choose the most typical keyword phrase that describes you profession.

Put this keyword in the following places in your LinkedIn profile (see illustration below):

  1. Headline
  2. Current work experience
  3. Past work experience
  4. Summary
  5. Specialties

Save, and now do a new search for that keyword. Where are you on the list?
