IT ALL CAME BACK TO ME IN A WAVE OF MEMORIES AND EMOTIONS. A customer at the store I work at had just returned from a trip to her family’s homeland, the Philippines. She was still under the powerful impressions of encountering her native people and culture, and her conversation rekindled memories of my experience in Scotland back in 1984.
